On or about June 7th, I submitted an article to the Barrie Advance written by the lovely and talented Samantha Cole.
This 324 word opus was published – after having been “edited” – uncredited, and languished in the online archive.
When I came across the story a few weeks later I was puzzled as to why it had no attribution to the author.1 I filled out the online comment/concern form stating this, had my question whisked away into the ether, and expected the situation to be corrected.
Fast forward to today.
Going back to check whether anyone had followed through on this request, I was surprised to discover that the article has disappeared, and no amount of Google Search hacking can bring it, or a cache of it, back to life.
Kudos to you, editors of the Barrie Advance.
- The editor(s) neglected to inform me, as I had asked, that it was being published, so it was, pardon the pun, news to me. [↩]
